Here are some examples of walking pictures from my collection, photographs taken in towns and holiday resorts during the 1900s. After being snapped by the roaming photographer the subjects were handed a ticket that they could use to purchase their snap from the kiosk later in the day. In Blackpool, my hometown, this type of photography was very popular. I have a walkie snap of my Grandparents which captures their movements along the promenade in the 1940s. I will post this soon. There is a beautiful collection of walking pictures here on Flickr.
